Technical Sales Engineer

EyeKor Technical Sales Engineer assists in the presentation, demonstration and sale of , EyeKor’s SaaS-based product, and related data hosting and management services in ophthalmic clinical trials. The Technical Sales Consultant is the application and technical lead for assigned sales activities and supports the sales team with overall account strategies. The Technical Sales Consultant is the lead technical presenter in customer facing events.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate technical and business information to a widely varied audience
  • Act as liaison with clinical trial project management, R&D, and Sales to facilitate fluent communication between the client and the organization.
  • Aid in the production of standard and custom demonstration environments
  • Lead product demonstrations and customer needs analysis discussions
  • Review, update and create technical RFI/RFP responses as necessary
  • Support effective transition of new accounts to Trial Project Management team

Skills and Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of web-based applications, cloud-based hosting infrastructure, and ophthalmic data management
  • Minimum of five years of previous technical sales consulting/sales engineer/technical support roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivating, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner
  • Exposure to clinical trial data management applications and/or concepts a plus
  • Exposure to formal sales methodologies a plus

Bachelors Degree in the Engineering, Business or Computer Science preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
